The final round of the National League brought an exciting close to the regular season, with teams giving it their all in the last set of fixtures. With final standings and top-four positions on the line, Round 7 delivered close contests, dominant performances and great sportsmanship across all matches.
MATCH 1
RNC vs AFNC
📍 Rotterdam
Rotterdam Netball Club hosted Amersfoort Netball Club in a closely contested encounter. Amersfoort started strongly, taking the early lead in the first quarter, but Rotterdam responded well to edge ahead by halftime. The match remained tight through the third quarter, with both teams exchanging goals and maintaining pressure. In the final quarter, Rotterdam held their composure and capitalised on key opportunities to secure a narrow and hard-fought win.

ANC1 vs DHNC
📍 Amsterdam
Amsterdam Netball Club 1 faced The Hague Netball Club in one of the most exciting matches of the round. ANC1 started strongly, building an early lead through the first half with confident attacking play. The Hague fought their way back into the match, closing the gap in the third quarter to level the scores. In a dramatic final quarter, DHNC managed to edge ahead and secure a one-goal victory in a thrilling finish.

Amsterdam Netball Club 2 took on Brussels Netball Club and delivered a strong performance after a balanced start to the match. The first quarter was evenly contested, but ANC2 began to build momentum in the second quarter. From there, Amsterdam 2 dominated the game, particularly in the third quarter where they extended their lead significantly. Their consistency and teamwork allowed them to close out the match comfortably.

UNC vs MNC

Utrecht Netball Club hosted Maastricht Netball Club and continued their dominant form. UNC set the tone early with a strong first quarter and maintained control throughout the match. With consistent attacking combinations and solid defensive work, Utrecht steadily built their lead across all four quarters. Maastricht showed determination, but UNC’s quality ensured a convincing win.

Amsterdam Netball Club 1 faced Brussels Netball Club in a catch-up match from Round 6. ANC1 came out with strong intent, taking control from the first quarter and maintaining momentum throughout the game. Their accuracy in the shooting circle and disciplined play allowed them to extend their lead consistently, resulting in a comprehensive victory.

A friendly match also took place between RNC Otters and ANC3, with ANC3 securing a strong win.

STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 7
With Round 7 completed, the National League standings are now final. Utrecht Netball Club finishes the season at the top of the table, completing an outstanding unbeaten run and securing first place.
The Hague Netball Club finishes strongly in second position, followed by Amsterdam Netball Club 1 in third. The competition throughout the league has been highly competitive, with teams continuing to grow and challenge each other across the season.
SEASON WRAP
That brings us to the end of the league rounds for the 2025–2026 season. A huge well done to all teams for their commitment, sportsmanship and the high level of netball displayed throughout the competition.
Congratulations to the top 4 teams, who will now move on to the next stage and compete on 6 June in Amsterdam.
