Netball Netherlands is building a recognised National Netball Team that creates a clear pathway for talented players that will also help to raise the standard of the sport nationwide. This programme is about more than selecting a squad. It’s about building sustainable structures that will support the growth of netball for years to come.

National Performance Pathway

Netball in the Netherlands is growing rapidly. After two successful years of the National Netball League across multiple cities, we now have a thriving and competitive community driven by passionate players and volunteers. The next step is clear.

We are starting to build the foundation for an Open Dutch National Netball Squad, bringing together the best players from across the country to represent the Netherlands on the international stage.

Our long-term ambition includes:

  • Increased visibility and national recognition for the sport

  • A professional coaching and performance team

  • Strong governance and international alignment

  • Sustainable funding through sponsorship and partnerships

  • Clear player pathways, including future youth development squads

In 2026, we’re launching a National Team pilot programme. This phase allows us to build experience, refine our structure, and create a strong foundation for official recognition and long-term success.
