Netbal Netherland is launching its Open Dutch National Netball Squad in 2026, bringing together top players from across the country to represent the Netherlands internationally.

This milestone marks a major step forward in elevating the sport, establishing a clear pathway for talented athletes, and setting the foundation for long-term national success.

National Performance Pathway

This initiative goes beyond forming a national team. It focuses on building the structures needed to grow netball sustainably across the Netherlands.

Our long-term ambition includes:

Meet the Performance Team

Performance Director
Natalie Peperell

Natalie is currently Assistant Coach at London Pulse in the Netball Super League and is heading into her fourth season at this level, bringing extensive experience from elite performance environments. Alongside her coaching role, Natalie is the Business and Finance Manager for London Pulse, playing a key role in the strategic and operational foundations that shape the organisation. Internationally, she has served as Assistant Coach for Wales at the Commonwealth Games, Ireland Emeralds open squad, Head Coach for Wales U21 and Head Coach for Switzerland U17.

Assistant Coach

Anna Bennington

Anna is an experienced netball coach and Head Coach of Den Haag Netball Club, with over 20 years of coaching across a range of ages and performance levels. She has supported athlete development within the England Netball Satellite Academies and worked as a scout in the Eastern Region. A former Eastern Regional League player, she also represented basketball at county level. Her coaching focuses on long-term player development, combining technical skills, game understanding, and athlete wellbeing in a positive environment that builds confidence and enjoyment.

Head Coach

Lyn Hook 

Lyn is a highly experienced international netball coach and senior netball leader with a background spanning grassroots, performance and elite environments. A former England netball player, Lyn has coached across multiple countries, working with athletes from junior participation through to national representation. Alongside her coaching work, she brings extensive governance experience, having served as Chair of Europe Netball for 13 years and currently is the Regional Director for Europe on the World Netball Board.

Louis Parkes-Talbot

Lead Performance Analyst

Louis Parkes-Talbot 

Louis is a full stack software developer focused on the energy transition, bringing over five years of experience in data analytics, modelling, and app development. Louis will support the national programme through data-driven insights and by developing bespoke performance tools for coaches and players. Louis is also a huge netball fan, following three teams across Australia, New Zealand and the UK. He has been playing netball at an amateur level for many years, including in the Netherlands National Netball league most recently.

Assistant Coach

Gary Brown 

Gary is a seasoned netball coach and currently Head Coach of Utrecht Netball Club, with a background in both playing and coaching in high performance environments. He supported the development of emerging talent in the Netherlands, including coaching the Netherlands U23 side in their inaugural match against France. As a player, he captained the England Men’s Netball team and competed at two INA World Cups, alongside training with multiple NSL and Premier League clubs. Gary is also currently completing his Netball Europe Level 2 coaching qualification. 

Leah Nolan

Assistant Performance Analyst

Leah Nolan

Leah is a dedicated netball coach with over 10 years of coaching across school, club, and county levels. She brings a strong academic foundation in sports science and is currently completing her MSc in Elite Sports Performance, focusing on how match statistics influence coaching decisions.

She is particularly passionate about using performance data and video analysis to support player development and enhance decision-making within the coaching environment.

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Luke Bury

Luke is an S&C coach with a strong passion for speed development, having coached and trained in both England and Australia. He recently moved to the Netherlands after leading athletic development programmes at England Lambs RFC and Felsted School. Luke focuses on helping athletes maximise their speed and power, contributing to a dynamic and exciting style of play. He is excited to be part of the programme and looks forward to working with a talented group of athletes.

Each training camp will last for 5 hours. Locations and times advised at a later date, ​

  • Sunday, May 17th 2026 

  • Sunday, June 14th 2026 

  • Sunday, June 28th 2026 ​

 

Training Camp & Match Weekend (Away) 
  • Friday, 3 July – Sunday, 5 July 2026​

    • This weekend will take place abroad and will include something along the lines of:

      • 1 × Training Camp

      • 1 × Ladies Match

      • 1 × Mixed Match

    • Further details, including the exact location and schedule, will be shared at a later date.

Plans for August are still in progress and will be confirmed after the squad has been selected and player availability has been assessed. Court bookings are also currently difficult to secure due to the holiday blackout period, so final arrangements will be confirmed closer to the time.

If you do not meet the eligibility requirements or get selected for the April trials, don’t be discouraged. We will be holding additional trials after September, providing another opportunity to be considered for the programme.
