Netbal Nederland is looking for a creative Social Media Manager to help volunteer and us tell the story of netball in the Netherlands and grow our presence online.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of our social media channels and help tell the story of netball in the Netherlands, from the work being done by Netbal Nederland and our national performance pathway, to the athletes, teams and clubs that make up the Dutch netball community. You’ll help showcase players and clubs across the Netherlands, celebrate their activities and achievements, and promote opportunities for people to get involved in the sport.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for managing and developing Netbal Nederland’s social media presence, primarily across Meta channels. You will create and publish engaging content that:

Highlights the work, programmes and initiatives of Netbal Nederland.
Showcases our national teams, athletes and performance pathway, including their activities and achievements.
Celebrates clubs and players across the Netherlands and helps promote the wider Dutch netball community.
Tells the stories of the players, clubs, coaches and volunteers helping to grow netball in the Netherlands.
Promotes events, trials, National Netbal League and other Netbal Nederland activities.
Raises awareness of netball and encourages more people to play, follow and get involved in the sport.
Develops a consistent and recognisable Netbal Nederland social media presence.

We are also open to someone who is interested in developing our presence on TikTok and exploring short-form video content. This is not a requirement, but would be a great opportunity for someone with an interest in growing the platform.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who:

Understands what makes content engaging on Instagram and Facebook. Experience is a handy but it’s not a must.
Is creative and confident coming up with content ideas.
Can create and edit simple social media graphics, photos and videos.
Is organised and able to plan and maintain a regular posting schedule.
Can work independently and take ownership of the social media function.
Is comfortable working with volunteers, athletes, coaches and the Netbal Nederland board.

You don't need to be a netball expert. An understanding of sport and a genuine interest in helping grow the sport in the Netherlands are more important.

Time commitment

We are looking for someone who can commit to a minimum of 2-3 posts per week, with flexibility around major events, competitions and national team activities.
