Commercial Director
Volunteer
It’s an exciting time for netball in the Netherlands! As our community continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic volunteer to join the Board of Directors as Commercial Director.
Time Commitment: Approx. 5-8 hours per week (flexible)
Location: Remote / Work from home (with occasional in-person meetings and events)
Role Overview
As Commercial Director, you will help increase the visibility of Netbal Nederland and explore opportunities to bring in sponsorship and support for the growth of netball in the Netherlands.
You will work with the rest of the Board to promote the sport, connect with potential sponsors, and find creative ways to support our activities. You don't need to be a commercial expert, just someone who enjoys marketing, building relationships, and helping a growing sports community.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Sponsorships

Help promote Netbal Nederland and increase awareness of netball in the Netherlands.

Manage our communication activities including website updates, newsletters, Linkedin account and working together with our social media lead.

Help promote national netball events, domestic leagues, and national team initiatives

Come up with ideas to attract new players, supporters, and followers.

Collaborate with local clubs and volunteers to highlight engaging stories, highlights, and community updates from around the country.

Work with the sponsorship lead help identify potential sponsors and partners who may be interested in supporting netball.

Reach out to local businesses and organisations to explore sponsorship opportunities.

Ensure all sponsor partnerships and or marketing campaigns align with Netbal Nederland’s brand guidelines and values
Working with the board

Share ideas and work with other Directors to help the organisation grow.

Help identify opportunities to raise funds and support netball activities.

Contribute to planning and delivering initiatives that increase the visibility and reach of netball.

Support other Board members and volunteers where needed.

Present updates and marketing progress at monthly board meetings and AGMs
Requirements

An interest or experience in marketing, sponsorship and communications
-
Good communication skills and a willingness to connect with people.

A proactive attitude and a willingness to share ideas.

The ability to work independently while collaborating with other volunteers.

A passion for sport and a desire to help netball grow in the Netherlands.

Good written and spoken English; Dutch is always a nice to have

Important note on eligibility: To maintain objective and neutral governance across the sport, this board role is not compatible with any active board positions at local netball clubs within the Netherlands.
