As our National Netball League continues to grow, we are looking for volunteers to help support a fair, positive, and well-managed competition environment for the 2026/2027 season!

Role Overview

Representatives will assist with the smooth running of fixtures by acting as a neutral point of contact, supporting communication between clubs, officials, and the league, and helping address any questions or concerns that may arise during the day. This role is intended to help create a professional, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all players, coaches, officials, and spectators.  We are seeking two volunteers per netball club location, we also welcome volunteers who are not affiliated with a club to participate as well.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend designated Netball Nederland league fixtures, either at your home club or an assigned venue  

• Act as a neutral point of contact during match days  

• Assist in resolving on-the-day concerns or conflicts, supporting constructive communication where needed  

• Liaise with umpires, coaches, and bond officials to help maintain a positive and professional match environment  

• Collect and manage match documentation, including score sheets, player participation records, and umpire details  

• Gather and submit voted awards, including MVP and Fair Play recognitions  

• Report or escalate any serious incidents or concerns in accordance with league procedures 

• Any significant incidents or concerns should be documented and submitted to the league within the required reporting timeframe 

• Respect the authority of match officials and avoid involvement in on-court officiating decisions unless formally requested through league procedures 

• Representatives must remain neutral and should not oversee matches in which they are participating or where a conflict of interest may exist  

• League Representatives are present to support match-day operations and communication, but do not replace formal officiating or disciplinary processes

What This Role Does Not Include 

• Making officiating decisions during matches  

• Replacing the authority of umpires or formal league disciplinary processes  

• Coaching, advocating for, or representing teams while acting as a League Representative  

• Becoming directly involved in on-court disputes unless required through league procedures

Commitment:

• Available approximately 2 days per month, 4 hours per day on either Saturday or Sunday.

• Match schedules will be shared well in advance  

• Representatives will typically be assigned to their selected club or another designated venue, but may occasionally be asked to assist at alternative venues to support league coverage and neutrality 

• This is a volunteer support role intended to assist with the continued growth and professionalism of Netball Nederland leagues

Locations:

• Across Netball clubs in the Netherlands and Belgium: Amersfoort, Amsterdam, Brabant, Brussels, Den Haag, Maastricht, Rotterdam and Utrecht​​

• Representatives who can handle discussions, concerns, and incidents professionally and confidentially where appropriate 

• A commitment to promoting respectful behaviour, good sportsmanship, and a positive match-day environment 

• A positive attitude towards supporting the growth and development of netball in the Netherlands
